Most climate tools give you more data. Verdera gives you a different kind of infrastructure.
We don't build new hazard models or reinvent existing risk frameworks. We connect to the most rigorous ones, then build the reasoning layer that turns that data into decisions. The result is a system that can be assembled quickly, customised to context, and embedded into the workflows where decisions actually get made.
The architecture has three layers: modular inputs, a judgement engine, and a forward deployment model. Each layer is designed to work independently. Together, they close the gap between climate risk and institutional action.
The Three Layers
Six composable modules: Hazard Context, Human Vulnerability, Landscape Context, Intervention Database, Monitoring & Evaluation, and Framework Synthesis. Each module connects to the most rigorous external data sources and frameworks. Configurations are assembled per client; no two deployments use the same combination.

Adaptation is not one problem: it's dozens of problems that share a structure. We decompose that structure into six composable modules. A national ministry building a coastal resilience plan uses different modules than a DFI auditing a portfolio of infrastructure loans. The modules don't change. The configuration does.

Climate adaptation decisions require contextual intelligence: they have to account for political preferences, community realities, funding constraints, and the invisible operating manual of every institution involved. No generic model handles that. Most don't try.
The Judgement Engine is a domain-specific reasoning system built on specialised language models trained on a large corpus of climate policy documents, risk assessments, engineering disclosures, and adaptation plans. It doesn't surface data. It reasons through it, in context, and produces traceable outputs: every decision linked back to the sources it drew from.
For data-sensitive clients such as a ministry running a confidential portfolio audit or a DFI assessing sovereign risk, the Engine deploys locally. No data leaves the institution.
Platform Details: The Judgement Engine
General-purpose models are trained to be broadly competent. The Judgement Engine is trained to be deeply competent in one domain: climate adaptation, handling the inherent fuzziness that domain requires such as political trade-offs, community sentiment, leadership alignment, and regulatory variation across jurisdictions. Specialised SLMs sit on top of a reasoning-heavy backbone, calibrated against internal assessment benchmarks we've developed and continue to refine.
Every output the Engine produces is linked to the sources it drew on. Decision-makers can audit the reasoning path, not just the conclusion. This matters in institutional contexts where defensibility is as important as accuracy.
For clients where data sovereignty is a constraint, common in government and DFI contexts, the Engine deploys within the client's own infrastructure. It runs on their servers, behind their security perimeter, with no data transmitted externally. The capability is identical. The footprint is contained.
Our internal quality benchmark. Before any output reaches a client, it passes through a structured review layer: human-led, against criteria we've developed across deployments. Verdera Verified is the mark that signals the output has passed that bar.

Verdera is delivered as dashboards, agents, or digital twins: built into the workflows where decisions are actually made. The Judgement Engine doesn't sit in our servers waiting to be queried. It lives inside the institution's planning cycle, procurement process, or monitoring infrastructure.
This creates something most climate tools don't: a live system with feedback loops. As conditions change, as interventions get deployed, as new data comes in, the system updates. The institution isn't buying an assessment. They're acquiring operational infrastructure.
Over time, this moves Verdera from advisor to a responsible implementor.
Platform Details: Deployment Models
Dashboards are decision-support tools: structured interfaces that surface the right information at the right moment in a planning or review cycle. Agents are automated workflows that monitor, flag, and trigger actions without requiring a human to initiate each query. Digital twins are live representations of a real-world system such as a city's drainage infrastructure or a supply chain's exposure to heat stress, updating as conditions change.
A first engagement, scoping through initial deployment, typically runs 8–16 weeks. Follow-on integrations are faster because the core stack is already configured to the client's context.
Once Verdera is embedded in an institution's M&E infrastructure or planning cycle, replacing it means replacing the infrastructure, not just the software. The data history, the calibrated benchmarks, the team familiarity: these compound over time. The longer Verdera is embedded, the more essential it becomes.
